Trusty Vet Research Park
Located at 6945 Hwy 72 W, Huntsville, AL Trusty Vet | Research Park has been serving Huntsville, Madison, and the north Alabama region since 2012. Trusty Vet | Research Park has grown tremendously since opening. We are currently a multi-doctor practice and are open on Saturday’s until 5:00pm to help our clients manage their busy schedules. Kathryn Bradshaw, DVM
Trusty Vet veterinarian Dr. Kathryn Bradshaw, DVM has eagerly adopted the philosophy established by Trusty Vet and is excited to be an owner of Trusty Vet Research Park. Dr. Bradshaw received her DVM degree in 2006 from Kansas State University while her husband served in the US Army at Fort Riley. She previously, attended Texas A&M University where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Science. Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Bradshaw became an associate veterinarian at a small animal hospital in Madison, Al. Prior to the opening of Trusty Vet Research Park, she practiced for five years as an associate veterinarian at Valley Animal Hospital & Pet Resort in southeast Huntsville.
Dr. Bradshaw has served as past-president for the Madison County Veterinary Medical Association. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is a former member of the Huntsville chapter of Executive Women International. She is an active member in the North Alabama Texas A&M Alumni club. She participates in her church choir and teaches first and second graders Sunday school with her husband. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, hiking, watching SEC football, specifically the Texas Aggies, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Bradshaw shares her home with her husband, and her two young sons, Benjamin and Barrett. She also owns a dachshund- Sbisa, a Labrador- Dixie Bell, a Black and Tan mix- Rollie, and two cats - Kismet & Hope.
Claire Clune, DVM
Dr. Claire Clune, our newest addition to the Trusty Vet Research Park veterinary team, is a native of Huntsville, Alabama and is happy to be back home after spending 8 years away working on her veterinary education. Dr. Clune received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences from Mississippi State University. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Science degree from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018.
Dr. Clune is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, as well as the Madison County Veterinary Medical Association. She has a special interest in internal medicine, client education, and researching challenging and interesting cases.
Dr. Clune is newly married and shares her home with her husband, John. During her spare time, Dr. Clune enjoys gardening, home renovation, and spending time with her family which includes her 3 rescue dogs, Rosie, Montana, and Rick. Rosie and Montana are long haired miniature dachshunds that rule the roost, and Rick is a lab/pit bull mix that Dr. Clune neutered in school and couldn’t let go back to the shelter.
Ashley Calvin, DVM
Dr. Ashley Calvin graduated from Colorado State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University's School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts in 2003. Following graduation, Dr. Calvin returned to Colorado where she was an associate and owner of a small animal and exotic animal practice. Dr. Calvin recently relocated to the Huntsville area with her family when her husband took a job with NASA.
Dr. Calvin’s special interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, dental care, and managing chronic diseases such as liver disease, kidney disease and helping to control chronic pain. She enjoys treating exotic patients and teaching their owners how to provide the best care for these special pets. She'll treat just about anything and loves learning about each species.
Outside of work, Dr. Calvin and her supportive husband, Tim, keep busy with their three young children: twins, Rory and Owen, and their youngest, Holland. She also has four pets including 2 aging cats named Minette and Sunshine, as well as two black lab mixes named Bacon and Letty. The family is very excited to explore a new part of the country and is enjoying being in Huntsville!
Dawn | Veterinary Technician Assistant
Dawn has always had a love of animals and knew when she started working in the veterinary field that it was the perfect fit for her. She began working as a kennel technician in February 2010 and advanced to the positions of groomer and veterinary technician assistant at her previous place of employment. She enjoys every aspect of working with animals.
Dawn shares her home with her husband, four children, and her many cats and dogs. She spends her free time fishing and reading books. Dawn looks forward to providing compassionate care to Trusty Vet Research Park clients and their pets for many years to come.
Sianna | Veterinary Technician Assistant
Sianna began working in the veterinary field in 2011 at an animal hospital in Athens, Alabama. Since Sianna was a small child, she has always had a special compassion and love for all animals. While she loves assisting with surgery, she also loves witnessing the improvement of the pets that regularly come through our clinic.
Sianna shares her home with her husband, Justin, and her loving and energetic pit bull terrier, Mylee. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, enjoying the outdoors, and experimenting in the kitchen.
Heather | Veterinary Technician Assistant
Heather has always had a love for animals and medicine ever since she was a little girl. She began working in the field of veterinary medicine in 2005 as a receptionist. After taking a break from work in order to raise her growing family, Heather re-entered the world of veterinary medicine in 2012 as a receptionist. She took every opportunity to watch and help with pet care while working towards her goal of becoming a veterinary technician. Heather joined the team at Trusty Vet Research Park as a veterinary assistant in October 2015. She enjoys educating pet owners on parasite prevention products, the importance of regular vaccination schedules, and anything involving surgery.
In her free time, Heather spends time with her family including her supportive husband, John, and two daughters, Ava and Hannah. She also has one dog, Kratos, a german shepherd and one cat, Maximus. She enjoys spoiling all of them and providing them excellent veterinary care.
