Kathryn Bradshaw | DVM
Trusty Vet veterinarian, Dr. Kathryn A. Bradshaw, DVM has eagerly adopted the philosophy established by Dr. McManus II and is excited to be a co-founder of Trusty Vet Research Park. Dr. Bradshaw received her DVM degree in 2006 from Kansas State University. Previous to that she attended Texas A&M University where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Science. Upon graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Bradshaw became an associate veterinarian at a small animal hospital in Madison, Al. Prior to the opening of Trusty Vet Research Park, she practiced for five years as an associate veterinarian at Valley Animal Hospital & Pet Resort in southeast Huntsville.
Dr. Bradshaw is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and has served as a past president for the Madison County Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Bradshaw has been member of the Huntsville chapter of Executive Women International since January 2012. She serves her church by teaching children’s Sunday school classes with her husband. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Bradshaw shares her home with her husband, Bo, and her young sons, Benjamin and Barrett. She also owns two dachshunds- Duncan & Sbisa, and two cats- Grace & Hope.
Ashley Calvin | DVM
Dr. Ashley Calvin graduated from Colorado Sate University in 1997 with a BS of Animal Science, and received her Doctroate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University's School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She then returned to Colorado where she was an assoicate and owner of a small animal and exotic animal practice. Dr. Calvin recently relocated to the Huntsville area with her family, when her husband took a job with NASA.
Dr. Calvin enjoys internal medicine, dental care, and managing chronic diseases such as liver disease, kidney disease and helping to control chronic pain. She enjoys treating exotic patients and teaching their owners how best to care for these special pets. She'll treat just about anything and loves learning about each species
Outside of work, Dr. Calvin is kept busy by her supportive husband, Tim and their three children - Rory and Owen are both 5 year olds, and Holland is 3. She also has four pets - 2 aging cats named Minette and Sunshine, as well as two black lab mixes named Bacon and Letty. The family is very excited to explore a new part of the country and is enjoying being in Huntsville!
Ines Pinto | DVM
Dr. Ines Pinto, DVM, graduated veterinary school from Evora University, Portugal in 2008. After graduation, Dr. Pinto moved to Spain and completed a year-long internship at the University of Barcelona Veterinary School in equine internal medicine and surgery. After her internship, an opportunity came up to work with Egyptian Arabian horses. She went on a two year adventure in the land of the great pyramids. While in Egypt, she met her husband who was serving in the military at that time. Dr. Pinto is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and some French.
Dr. Pinto completed her American veterinarian certification in 2016. She is a member of the American Veterinarian Medical Association and the Madison County Veterinarian Medical Association. She loves working with small animals and has special interest in internal medicine, ophthalmology, and dermatology. Every day is a new and exciting day at the clinic.
Dr Pinto shares her house with her wonderful husband Wade, her daughter Sara, son Mateus, step-son Gabriel, and her sweet beagle mix, Roxie. Hobbies include: traveling, experiencing new cultures, and spending time with family and friends.
Katherine Roeder | DVM
Dr. Katherine Roeder graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. While in veterinary school, Dr. Roeder worked closely with the emergency veterinarians and technicians in the small animal ICU, taking care of the hospitalized patients. Prior to attending vet school, she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences as well as Zoology.
Dr. Roeder takes tremendous pride in being part of the veterinary field and loves the constant growth and knowledge that it has to offer. She is excited to join the team at Trusty Vet, who strive to accomplish exceptional quality care for every patient, big or small! Her professional interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, and ophthalmology. Originally from Birmingham, Dr. Roeder is excited to venture into North Alabama to serve the community of Huntsville and surrounding areas.
She shares her home with her husband - Michael, who is also a veterinarian. They are both kept busy by their pets - two Labradors (Ernest and Banks), a Vizsla (Piper), two little mixed breeds (Mallie and Meeko), and a cat (Stache).
Amina | Veterinary Technician Assistant
Amina is originally from Trinidad and Tobago, where she grew up around exotic animals, and discovered her love for animals at the age of five after helping her dad with his livestock business. While assisting her father, she felt compelled to obtain the knowledge to provide care for the sick and injured animals. She then moved to Alabama where she was able to make that dream a reality after graduating from Ross Medical School as a Certified Veterinarian Assistant in 2016.
She recently joined the Trusty Vet family in March of 2017 where she loves meeting the new pets and clients while using her knowledge to the best of her ability. Amina shares her home with her husband Dominique, her son Jace, and her two Pit bulls Kloe and Mason.
Celeste | Veterinary Technician Assistant
Celeste has been an animal lover since her first visit to a zoo when she was six. Her passion for animals led her to Auburn University where she graduated with a B.S. in Wildlife Management. While at Auburn, she had the opportunity to volunteer in the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned birds of prey. She credits this opportunity with sparking her interest to enter the veterinary field. She joined the Trusty Vet team in 2016 and absolutely enjoys being a veterinary technician and meeting her furry patients.
Celeste also enjoys spending time with her miniature poodle, Prince Charming, watching movies, and improving her photography skills.
Sianna | Veterinary Technician Assistant
Sianna entered the veterinary field in 2011 at an animal hospital in Athens, Al. Since Sianna was a small child, she has always had a special compassion and love for all animals. While she loves assisting with surgery she also loves witnessing the improvement of the pets that come through our clinic the most.
Sianna shares her home with her husband, Justin, and her loving and energetic pit bull terrier , Mylee. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, enjoying the outdoors, and experimenting in the kitchen.
Laura | Veterinary Technician Assistant
Laura first began pursuing an interest in medicine through nursing school before she realized that her true passion was working with animals. She entered the field of Veterinary Medicine in March 2014 beginning as a receptionist where her previous experience in the service industry proved to be an asset. Laura has enjoyed gaining experience with surgery prep and dental procedures during her time with Trusty Vet. She also feels rewarded by educating owners about their pet’s medical needs and acting as a patient advocate.
Laura shares her home with her toy poodle, Bruiser, and yellow lab mix, Barney. Her hobbies include discovering new music, shopping, and playing with her pets.
Heather | Veterinary Technician Assistant
Heather has always had a love for animals and medicine ever since being a little girl. She began working in the field of veterinary medicine in 2005 as a receptionist. Thereafter, she took a break in working to provide care for her growing family. In 2012, Heather re-entered the profession again as a receptionist and took any opportunity to watch and help with pet care working toward a goal of becoming a veterinary technician. Heather joined the team at Trusty Vet as a veterinary assistant in October 2015. She enjoys educating pet owners on parasite prevention products, the importance of regular vaccination schedules, and anything involving surgery.
In her free time, Heather spends time with her family including her supportive husband, John, and two daughters, Ava and Hannah. She also has two dogs; Kratos, a German Shepherd and Copper, a Shih Tzu and her one cat, Maximus. She enjoys spoiling all three of them and providing them excellent veterinary care.
